Project settings

Project settings enable you to set or manage options for all projects. With the proper administrative permissions, you can manage the following information.

Category Setting Description
Project Settings Project Name Name of the current project.
Project Created By Provides the name of the person who created the project.

Project Description

Text that describes the project.
Copied From Project If applicable, provides the name of the project from which this project is copied.
Multifactor Authentication Type of multifactor authentication used, if any.
IP White List Provides a list of the IP addresses to allow.
Processing Settings Analytics Whether to enable the Analytics functionality in Epiq Discovery. This functionality appears under ANALYZE>Analysis, including Data Assessment Dashboard, Theme Wheel, Concept List, and Word Index. Disabling Analytics also disables Near Dupe & Threading.

Automatic OCR

Whether to automatically OCR specific types of files in Processing. The file types that can be automatically OCR'd include: JPG, TIF, TIFF, PDF, and Bitmap files.

Automatically Transcode Videos Whether to automatically transcode certain types of video files (AVI, MOV, and 264) to enable display in the Viewer's video player.
DeNIST Whether to DeNIST files during Processing. Refer to About DeNIST for more information about the DeNIST feature.
Email Categorization Whether to automatically categorize emails. Refer to About email categorization for more information.
Data Assessment

Along with the Analytics checkbox, this setting enables the Data Assessment Dashboard. If this checkbox is disabled, the project was created before this feature was released. Refer to Data Assessment Dashboard and for more information.

Default OCR Language Displays the selected OCR language.
Excluded File Extensions Lists the file extensions that need to be processed as excluded file extensions. For more information about excluded file extensions, refer to About excluded file extensions.
Embedded Image Extraction Whether to define a custom rule for extracting embedded images in email or loose files.
Zip Encoding Choose an applicable zip encoding to extract documents from ZIP files. The default option is Default Encoding <UTF8)>.
Text Extraction Size Set the maximum text size for long text fields. For information about the default text size of a long text field and the maximum text size you can specify for a long text field, refer to Known limitations.
Document List Settings Document Sort By

Set the default sorting option for the Document List in Inspect and Review.

Maximum Document Size to Load in Viewer Set the maximum document size that you can view in the Document List native viewer in Inspect or Review.
Promotion Settings Enable Near Dupe & Threading

Whether to enable near duplication and email threading in Promotion. This option is not available if you disable Analytics.

Enable PII/PHI Detection Whether to enable PII/PHI detection in Promotion. Refer to PII/PHI detection for more information.
PII/PHI Confidence Level Cap This field appears only when you select the Enable PII/PHI Detection checkbox. Set the PII/PHI confidence level cap. Refer to PII/PHI detection for more information.
Enable Entity Identification

Whether to disable entity identification in Promotion. Refer to Entity identification for more information.

Custodians List of custodians Create and remove custodians.
Sources List of default and custom sources Create and remove custom sources.
Fields List of fields Create and remove fields.
Review Time Zone Displays the time zone used.
Propagation (for projects created before Epiq Discovery, release 3.8) Select when a tag propagates to duplicates, family, and email threads.
Quick Tags Define the Quick Tags that appear in the Document List.
Highlight colors Select terms to highlight.
Redaction Labels Set the redaction labels that you use when manually applying a redaction on a document in Inspect or Review.
Users List of users User access to a project using predefined roles (Project Manager, Litigation Support, Review Manager, Senior Reviewer, and Reviewer). Sort, invite, or delete a user.
Disposition Whether to archive or delete the project Archive a project to save it or delete the project.
